Auto People

Our History

Anyone running a car dealership today knows that finding good employees is perhaps the most important and at the same time often the most difficult aspect of your responsibilities. I learned that during my years as a multi-franchised auto dealer in Cleveland, Ohio. Even though my dealership was one of the largest and most successful in Northeastern Ohio, finding good people was a constant problem, costing excessive money and time.

That's why I started a personnel service specializing exclusively in the unique needs of automobile dealers. Because of my years as a dealer I understand the nature and extent of the problems, and my years in the personnel business have taught me how to solve them.

I started this company in 1989. We haven't looked back since. We work with dealerships of all sizes, from rural to metro. We have many loyal clients and an impeccable list of references. We were honored by being invited to join the J.D. Powers International Automotive Roundtable, and we're the only automotive recruiter invited to exhibit at the National Automobile Dealers Association convention. How do we find our candidates? Strictly through referral. You will never see us advertise for candidates. By advertising you get the three "uns"; the unemployed, the unhappy, and the unstable.

And please don't forget: When we send you a candidate they've been interviewed and qualified. They're ready to work. Lastly, please note: I spent many years as a very successful dealer. Just like you, I've run a dealership. I've sat in your chair, I know the aggravations you face every day. Because I've faced them too. You and I know that unless you've actually been in the "hot seat" you can never understand a dealer's problems.

We look forward to helping you, just like we have your fellow dealers all around the country. Please call us on our toll-free telephone line 800 659 9501 (for Car Dealers only. Candidates, please see our "Candidate's" page).
